About 250 prisoners were injured in the Chino Prison Riot last Saturday the California Institution for Men in Chino, California. Injuries from ranged mostly from stab wounds and head injuries. Fire was ignited that caused damages to the buildings.
The riot was likely a result of tensions between Hispanic and Black prisoners. More than 1000 prisoners were involved in the Chino prison riot.
Authorities responded to the Chino prison riots, with pepper spray, batons, foam projectiles to remove the inmates who holed up inside the facility.
As a result of the Chino prison riot, visitations to all the Southern California prison was suspended.
