Hurricane Rick packing with winds near 75 mph was formed off the Mexican coast and could become a major hurricane by Saturday.

Hurricane Rick is centered about 290 miles south of Acapulco, Mexico, and moving west near at 9 mph.

Authorities said that lots of rains are expected that could trigger landslides and flooding in the resort city of Acapulco.

Hurricane Rick, the seventh hurricane of the eastern north Pacific season, and its projected path might be parallel to the Pacific coast over the next five days. (See the map)

The people living near or in the projected path of the Hurricane Rick should prepare in advance. Rick is developing into category 5 hurricane that means it can create landslides and floods and danger to peoples lives and properties.
